Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 17, 2026

1. Information We Collect

We collect the information you provide when creating an account (such as your email address), the messages you send and receive through DarkGPT, and basic usage data needed to enforce plan limits and keep the service running.

2. Authentication

Accounts are created with an email address and password. We store your email and a hashed password — never the password itself — and we keep basic sign-in metadata (such as timestamps and IP address) to detect abuse.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your data to provide and improve DarkGPT, enforce usage limits, process payments, send account and billing emails, respond to support requests, and protect the security and integrity of the platform. We do not use your conversations to train third-party models.

4. Data Sharing and Processors

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run DarkGPT, or when required by law. Our processors are:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Venice AI — generating model responses to the messages you send.
  • Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting infrastructure.
  • Lovable — application hosting and transactional email delivery.

4a. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage strictly for essential functions: keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, and counting free-trial messages. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

5. Data Retention

Your chat history is stored for as long as your account exists so you can access past conversations. When you delete your account, your profile and chat data are removed from our active systems.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit. No system is completely secure, so please use strong, unique passwords.

7. Your Choices

You can export your chat history or delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

8. Children's Privacy

DarkGPT is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page when we do.

10. Contact
